The Foundation for Innovation and Research – Malta (FiR.mt) is pleased to announce its participation in the Horizon Europe Cluster 2 Matchmaking Event organised by Crowdhelix and hosted at SOAS University of London.

The event reached full capacity, attracting over 100 researchers, academics, and research and innovation professionals from 31 countries across Europe and beyond. Participants represented universities, research organisations, and industry stakeholders actively seeking collaborations for upcoming Horizon Europe Cluster 2 calls focusing on democracy, cultural heritage, creativity, and social transformation.

FiR.mt was recognised among the event’s featured contributors, with Dr Elena Torou, Principal Investigator and Project Coordinator at FiR.mt, participating alongside distinguished speakers from SOAS University of London and KPMG.

The matchmaking event provided a valuable platform for consortium building, networking, and the exploration of future European research collaborations. Activities included targeted consortium-building sessions, elevator pitches, thematic breakout rooms, and discussions on successful Horizon Europe project development strategies.

This recognition further demonstrates FiR.mt’s growing visibility within the European research and innovation ecosystem and its commitment to strengthening international partnerships across Horizon Europe programmes.

This activity received partial support through a funding scheme NCP_WIDERA.NET co-funded by the European Union and Xjenza Malta.
